This position has been filled. Our client has excelled at providing construction and engineering focused services. Their expertise supports the delivery of major projects worldwide and bridges the gaps between the construction, legal and financial sectors. On behalf of the client we are currently looking to recruit a specialist senior planning professional who has solid experience as a Delay Analyst to join the experienced consultancy based at their Glasgow office.
The role will be assisting an Expert Witness on various construction disputes including delay and extension of time claims, utilising your delay analysis and expert report writing skills. You will be involved in multiple and diverse project disputes where our client are assisting their contractors and clients, whether before or during arbitration and/or litigation. Main duties shall include but not be limited to:-
Support the Expert on selected construction disputes including assisting in Expert report writing.
Fact-finding and detailed analysis, quantification of delay and damages.
Preparation of and/or defending claims including drafting and conducting critical path delay analysis.
Working with the team and determining events for claim issues.
Demonstration of entitlement to EoT occurring as a result of disruption/loss of efficiency.
Programme critiques and delay analysis critiques.
Preparation of fragnets and delay events chronology.
The Successful Candidate
Preferably degree qualified however other suitable qualifications will be considered.
Member of professional body is desired but not essential.
Programme management experience on major projects.
Strong skills using Microsoft Office suite and planning software such as Primavera P3, P6.
Possess solid understanding of various delay analysis methods, the assumptions behind each, advantages & disadvantages of each, and the suitability of each method for a given circumstance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Delay analysis and report writing skills including hands-on experience of various prospective and retrospective delay analysis methods.
Experience in project planning and controls.
Excellent data management abilities.
Constructive team member, contributing practically to the success of the team.
Working under pressure and with minimum supervision.
Analytical and goal oriented.
Critical and creative thinking and ability to determine key issues.
