As per our external advert our client is a highly successful international firm of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) consulting engineers. They are a large and long established company and have experience in all market sectors having worked on many of the most prominent developments in the industry. The company have placed great importance on and embraced BIM enabling better collaboration.
The role will be as BIM Manager working in a regional office with designers including those at senior and associate level to support their day to day use of BIM. The successful candidate will be employed as an integral part of the team providing a real conduit between BIM and practical implementation on projects. Main duties shall include but not be limited to:-
producing clear, complete and high quality BIM models and drawings from preliminary through to contract stage to meet quality and programme targets.
working with Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD.
working with architects xrefs and models.
issuing and receiving models and drawings.
ensuring all quality procedures are adhered to.
monitoring and troubleshooting of models and other deliverables to ensure quality prior to issue.
using and monitoring developments on client based websites for the transferral of information to and from the company.
keep abreast of project developments to ensure the accurate transmittal of information.
using other related software and engineering skills to assist with thermal modelling regulations, compliance and visualisations.
communicating with all parts of project teams.
The Successful Candidate shall
have an engineering, BIM and AutoCAD background.
have practical experience of working with BIM and AutoCAD within a building services environment for at least 6 years
be Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD proficient.
be familiar with BIM standards and processes.
be interested in keeping up with the latest technology.
have excellent attention to detail, be well organised and methodical.
manage and prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
be focused, active and flexible.
possess natural communicational skills and be comfortable communicating with people at all levels.
